Food Vendors Only
VCH (Vancouver Coastal Health) requirements for the food vendors sampling their food:
Please refer to p.5 of the Guideline for Sale of Foods at Temporary Food Markets (https://www.fraserhealth.ca/media/201603-Guidelines-Sale-of-Foods-at-Temporary-Food-Markets.pdf). It talks about the alternative hand washing station, and portioning out foods.
Below is a picture of a temporary hand washing station:
A coffee urn with spigot would work, as long as the water is free flowing into a receptacle.
Third Party Public Liability Insurance is mandatory for all vendors.
The following must be on the Insurance Certificate:
• Minimum requirement of $2,000,000 per occurrence including $2,000,000 for bodily injury and death to any one or more persons or for property damage
• Must name both the PNE and the City of Vancouver as Additional Insured to be valid
City of Vancouver: 453 W 12th Ave, Vancouver, BC V5Y 1V4
PNE: 2901 E Hastings St, Vancouver, BC V5K 5J1
For your convenience, please find the insurance form from an insurance broker (Pat Anderson Insurance Group) HERE who carries short-term liability insurance programs. As per your contract it is the vendor’s responsibility to deal directly with the insurance company.
