Katrina Jones, The Belle Game & Fine Print Social Media

Katrina loves to create connection. The Montrealer, now 5 year Vancouver transplant, exercises her passion by building meaningful relationships, connection and understanding through her music, her company Fine Print and her work in the community.

Katrina creates music as one of the members of crush-pop band Belle Game (Arts & Crafts). Through touring the world, writing and recording, Katrina found that her creative and marketing skills not only applied to her music, but was the catalyst in the co-foundation of her social media/creative agency, Fine Print. In just over 3 years, Fine Print has built their client base to include the likes of Red Truck Brewery, Vancouver is Awesome, TELUS/STORYHIVE and more. Katrina volunteers regularly with Megaphone Magazine and the DTES Women’s Centre, and loves to support causes that encourage creativity and confidence.

Adam Nanji, The Belle Game and Managing Editor at Vancouver is Awesome

As the founding member of Vancouver-based band, The Belle Game, Adam is all too familiar with the“side hustle” lifestyle. Strangely, it’s music that led him to help market, promote and amplify other people's creative projects. After providing Social Media assistance for friends and fellow artists, Adam co-founded Fine Print Social Media, leading to collaborations with record labels, music festivals, creative companies and corporate clients such as landmark blog, Vancouver Is Awesome and TELUS/STORYHIVE.

Adam continues to write, perform and record as 1/4 of Belle Game and 1/1 of Prison Hair. He is the co-owner of Fine Print Social Media and the managing editor at Vancouver Is Awesome.

Kia Zahrabi, Project Engineer at KWL and Co-Founder of Ponderosa Festival

Kia Zahrabi, Project Engineer at KWL and Co-Founder of Ponderosa Festival

By day, Kia works as a Project Engineer at the BC-based firm Kerr Wood Leidal Associates (KWL), consulting with municipal, private development and corporate clients.  During the mornings and evenings, Kia works on the Ponderosa Festival, a three-day music and arts festival that he and his partner created in 2013, following a weekend party at his father's orchard.  Fast forward almost 5 years and he has gained hands-on experience related to project management, business development, marketing, artist booking, event production and logistics, and through his work has been fortunate enough to network and collaborate with BC's skilled industry professionals and business owners.

The late nights and financial hardships that come with a brand new "side hustle" project have put him on a roller coaster ride that has tested his ability to manage a number of difficult tasks and situations as well as his motivation to push forward.  He and his partner however, have continued to maintain the vision of putting on a one-of-a-kind experience and they are proud to see the Ponderosa community grow year after year.

Lizzy Karp, Partner of Here There Studio and Marketing  Manager, TELUS STORYHIVE

Lizzy Karp loves a good story. So much so, that it’s the thread that links gigs, jobs and project she’s had living in Vancouver since 2009.

By day, she is a part of a team at STORYHIVE, supporting emerging content creators with funding, mentorship and a place to connect. Her current passion within that project is to propel the careers of female and diverse creators - and help shine a light on the work they do.

And by night (weekends, afternoons, early mornings) she’s a partner of Here There, a multi-disciplinary experiential agency in partnership with Ken Tsui. Here There creates memorable experiences, projects and campaigns that inspire, encourage connection and activate unexpected spaces in the city. She co-founded the live storytelling series Rain City Chronicles in 2009 (evolving into a project called Record Club), as well as establishing A Good Book Drive, a playful kid’s book drive now in four major cities collecting over $28,000 worth of new books for kids in need.

She tells stories to her husband Pat and pup Farley, every night, and is newly obsessed with becoming a DJ.
