RECAP: 2016 SPRING POP UP MARKET

Fall for Local is a Vancouver initiative curating pop-up markets and speaker series for creative entrepreneurs to cultivate connections and build community, all while helping to strengthen the local economy. Aside from their “Local Talks,” Fall for Local’s main event of the year is their Spring Market, a unique shopping experience providing Vancouverites with high quality local goods in a fun, upbeat environment.

This year, a variety of amazing local vendors set up shop in North Vancouver’s Pipe Shop Building for an afternoon filled with fun and excitement. Guests received #FallforLocal canvas tote bags, practiced their smiles in an interactive photobooth, enjoyed delicious locally made sausages from O’Canadawg and sipped on Nice Vice dairy free root beer floats.

Aside from the fun, interactive opportunities, the Fall for Local Spring Market had an incredible line-up of local vendors, including WesterlyNootka NaturalsThirsty Whale,Batch Sweet Kitchen, The Lemon Square, and Ace & Company designs, among several others. With such a variety of options to choose from, guests could shop for housewares, snacks, pet products, clothing, jewellery and more, all under one roof!

If you happened to miss this year’s event, don’t fret! Visit www.fallforlocal.com to see the full vendor list and shop for your favourite products from each individual company website. And if the market atmosphere is what you’re looking for, mark your calendars for 2017!
